Of Boulders & Buttons

If  you   head out across the boulder beach  at Carsaig on the  #Isle of Mull    you   will   surely find your way to  the ancient Nun's Cave,   both   the root & inspiration  of   Mrs Fingal's   existence   .   A place of refuge I spent  time at , many moons ago.
Here now in #Torridon   the rocks continue to inspire  ...with a kind winter behind us   &  slumbers  pretty short  this year  as I emerged into  spring .

I found myself  studying   micro climates on rocks  - to be the subject for  another piece of  felt art  , very soon !! , sorting my button collection    - all in ONE place  at last    &  grappling with   new phones , & the mobile revolution  , so   now can take    card payments  on the move  .  Time for  felt making   has been erratic , intense at times   . But ALWAYS  A JOY     to   delve into my fleece  collection. Particularly enjoy  working fleeces for Florries    whose provenance is known & sometimes  even know the sheep !    Expect to see   coloured  Shetland   Florries in the range this year ...  Oh the curls !!!!!

So here is  wee   selection of some of the pieces  I've been working on ......    see  not much slumber .

Mrs Fingal    has woken   to   find  all  sorts  of  new things on the horizon and hoping your horizons  are  looking      good tooo .
